In order to better provide you with the various features and functions of our Site and our Services, we collect the following types of information about our users:
- Personal Information3: This refers to information that lets us know the specifics of who you are, sometimes referred to as personally identifiable information. When you engage in certain activities on this Site, such as registering for an account, downloading content made available to you, purchasing or subscribing to our Services, submitting content and/or posting content to a forum or blog (subject to the “Blog or Forum Posts” below), or sending feedback, we may ask you to provide certain information about yourself. We gather certain information about you based upon where you visit on our Site and what other sites may have directed you to us. This information, which is collected in a variety of different ways, is compiled and analyzed on both a personal and an aggregated basis. This information may include a website’s Uniform Resource Locator (“URL”) that points to the website you came from, which URL you go to after visiting our Site, what browser you are using, and your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address.
How We Collect and Use Information
We do not collect any Personal Information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain Personal Information to us when you elect to use certain Services available on the Site. These may include: (a) registering for an account; (b) entering a sweepstakes or contest sponsored by us or one of our partners; (c) signing up for special offers from selected third parties; (d) sending us an email message; (e) submitting a form or transmitting other information by telephone or letter; or (e) submitting your credit card or other payment information when ordering and purchasing Services. Additionally, your credit card information is encrypted and stored on a restricted-access database and only accessible by authorized personnel.
CAT or its advertising partners (“Advertising Partners”) may collect certain Aggregate Information. For example, we may use your IP address to diagnose problems with our servers, software or hardware, and/or to gather demographic information. Our Advertising Partners may also provide us with aggregate, but not individual, reports that will tell us how many advertisements were presented and clicked upon at our Site.

Release of Information
We will not sell, trade, or rent your Personal Information to others. We and our Advertising Partners or Service Partners may need to use some Personal Information in order to perform tasks between our respective websites, or to deliver Services to you. For example, we must release your credit card information to the card-issuing bank to confirm payment for Services purchased on this Site; release your address information to the delivery service to send any products you may order; and provide order information to third parties that help us provide customer service.
Occasionally, we may be required by law enforcement or judicial order to provide Personal Information to the appropriate governmental authorities. In such cases, we will disclose Personal Information upon receipt of a court order, subpoena, or to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation. Security of Your Personal Information
CAT takes reasonable steps to protect your personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organizational measures. For example:
- We work hard to ensure that the data we collect is reliable, accurate, complete and current. The elements of our Site and Services which permit the communication of Personal Information provide for encrypted transmission of such information.
- We limit access to Personal Information only to specifically authorized employees, contractors and agents who have a reasonable need to access it. For example, we may provide members of our technical support team with limited access to your account in order to allow them to troubleshoot problems you may be having with the Site or our Services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including, but not limited to, termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.
- Additionally, we also employ a number of physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect Personal Information. Our servers and datacenters are protected by industry-standard encryption, and our servers reside behind firewalls and employ high-level password protection.
- Finally, we allow you to access all of your Personal Information (for additional security, we display to you only the last four digits of your credit card information), through a unique password and customer ID selected by you. These log-in credentials are encrypted during transmission and at rest. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone (you are responsible for all activity that occurs under your customer ID and password).
In order to most effectively serve you, credit card transactions and order fulfillment are handled by established third-party banking institutions and processing agents (e.g., PayPal). They receive the information needed to verify and authorize your credit card or other payment information and to process and ship your order. Use of these third party services will be governed by their posted terms and conditions and privacy policies.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your Personal Information, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations inherent to the Internet, which are beyond our control; and (b) the security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information exchanged between you and us through this Site cannot be guaranteed.
Sensitive Personal Information
We have no need for any sensitive Personal Information from you in order to provide our Service, and we take no steps to collect it. Sensitive Personal Information means data consisting of racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data, data concerning health or data concerning a natural person’s sex life or sexual orientation. You agree not to provide any sensitive Personal Information to us.
